Bio

Afrodet Zuri is a philanthropist, art curator, art dealer, designer, and writer. Born in Akko to Palestinian and Israeli parents and educated in Spain she is no stranger to chaos and is constantly pursuing beauty and elegance in the midst of it.

She is the founding Co-chair of Storm King Circle, the young patrons group for Storm King Art Center and is heavily involved with a handful of other causes, including those focusing on issues of human rights, child hunger and ocean conservation.

In addition to art and philanthropy Afrodet has advised a handful of fashion brands including jewelry line Mimilore, driving the brand to be picked up by Anthropologie as well as the helping to create their New York market for StyleLend, a peer to peer closet sharing service.

Acting as a muse and brand ambassador for the sustainable brand, SOÜF led her to recently co-create with SOÜF founder, Sofia Avila, the kimono brand, Asfoura, incorporating the different aesthetics and fabrics of the East.

After attending the University of Texas in Austin for her undergraduate degree, Afrodet moved to New York to pursue her master’s degree in Contemporary Art at the Institute for Art at Sotheby’s. She lives in New York when she is not chasing sunsets in other places.
